I Don’t Know
I Don’t Know is my Undergraduate thesis project. The concept stems from the constant fear of making the wrong decisions for ourselves and if we are, ultimately, good enough to be where we are; the idea of imposter syndrome fed heavily into my thesis.
It seems to me that we overthink decisions because we suspect another decision might be better for us in the long run. However there is absolutely no way to know that for sure, and the only way to find out is to move forward and learn from our mistakes.
I Don’t Know is a visual poem - developed off of an actual poem that I wrote. The angst was real.
Ideation & Storyboard
Below is the ideation and development that went into planning the spot. I did a lot of mind mapping and free writing to push deeper into the possibilities for visual metaphors to portray the poem in animation. Along with this ideation, I boarded out the entire poem. In the end, I cut a lot of stanzas in the name of saving time and relevance.
